I keep forgetting. No matter how far I come and how hard I work at getting all "the work" done: learning to take care of myself, learning to create time in my day to replenish, learning to say no, along comes a heavy week, and BOOM! I'm back to square one. Tired, burnt out, emotionally frayed.
And then I remember, again, that all I really need to do is reconnect with my body, and the quickest and best way to do that is to jump straight in the ocean. Instant cleansing bliss, instant reconnection, instantly bringing me back to myself.
I get myself in a lather, I rinse, I must remember to repeat.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
