Lather, Rinse, Repeat

I keep forgetting. No matter how far I come and how hard I work at getting all "the work" done: learning to take care of myself, learning to create time in my day to replenish, learning to say no, along comes a heavy week, and BOOM! I'm back to square one. Tired, burnt out, emotionally frayed.

And then I remember, again, that all I really need to do is reconnect with my body, and the quickest and best way to do that is to jump straight in the ocean. Instant cleansing bliss, instant reconnection, instantly bringing me back to myself.

I get myself in a lather, I rinse, I must remember to repeat.

And then today - the perfect quote on Roots of She

Be not the slave of your own past- plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep, and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience, that shall explain and overlook the old.

Ahhhh too true – that time is coming to an end here in Whitstable, autumn has arrived. I remind myself to think of all the autumnal colours we will be bless with soon. Lets keep swimming in the open air, for as long as we all can!!
